Welcome

to new approach in psychotherapy

Firstly, welcome! I am glad you have found me. At Process Therapy together we create space for personal growth, awareness and expression. I offer a private and confidential counselling service, in person and online.

Process work psychology is a new paradigm in psychotherapy.  Together we will help you find new ways to access your power in order to overcome everyday challenges. We will then try out new ways to grow and integrate these actions in day-to-day life.

"In my relationships with persons I have found that it does not help, in the long run, to act as though I were something that I am not." Carl Rogers. I believe in honesty, respect and compassion as the foundation for a successful counselling relationship. I am continuously learning new techniques and interventions in order to give you the best version of myself.

  • Sessions are available online via Zoom, over the phone or in person.

  •  I am based in Glenorie NSW.

  • In-person sessions are held in my counselling room in Glenorie Hub, located between Glenorie Pharmacy and Glenorie Hair Hub.

  • This is a private space to visit, feel heard and supported in any stage of your life journey.

My therapeutic approach is client-centred, meaning any interventions or exercises used are selected to support you to achieve your highest potential. I also use mindfulness and poly-vagal exercises to achieve nervous system regulation in a bottom-up approach. These techniques combined with Process Therapy form a trauma informed experiential counselling method where the sensations, expressions, feelings and emotions are explored and investigated.

Historical Hike

Individual Sessions

It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves”- Sir Edmund Hillary

Each counselling session is personalised to your needs. During an individual session I will work with you to get a better understanding and some clarity around you current concerns.  Then I will draw on Process Work and Trauma-Informed techniques to work with your own knowledge, deep wisdom, and nervous system to uncover practices and solutions to integrate into your daily life.

Common concerns address in individual sessions are anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship conflicts, body symptoms, goals and dreams.

Interventions that may be used during your sessions include mindfulness and grounding techniques, nervous system regulation, art and drawing, symbols and roll play, movement and stillness, storytelling and listening. My role is to draw on this wide range of tools and using your verbal and non-verbal signals introduce the technique I believe will best support you.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

The focus of trauma informed therapy is to avoid and prevent re-traumatisation and enter into a therapeutic relationship that does no harm.

When we talk of trauma, that covers a wide range of human experiences and can be summarised as times of too much, too soon or too little. The good news is that by using trauma informed techniques it is possible to work on trauma and ways it may be effecting your current life without re-experiencing the traumatic events.

If you would like to hear more about these techniques, book in a free discovery call.
